Real life bike utopia.

Yes this is even better than a custard Danish, this is the Danish pavilion built for the 2010 Shanghai world expo, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). It not only personifies the Danish way of life and their passion for the bicycle, they actually shipped over parts of their landmark for this pavilion (a rustic statue of the little mermaid).
The pavilion is designed to be enjoyed by foot and bicycle, with 1500 city bikes greeting visitors, the never ending "infinity like" circulation path lets pedestrians and cyclist enjoy the space together with a difference in floor finish safely separating them. The idea of this coexistence between cyclist and the world is a perfect model for any major cities to combat traffic congestion and introduce green transportation and healthy living and this was built in 2010! Its unfortunate that Sydney is so far behind that our European friends.
P.S check out the cool clip at the bottom of the concept development.
