Australian Open in Bondi

Following a successful stop during the Australian Open Trophy Tour, Bondi Beach will get an even bigger taste of tennis this summer with the Australian Open Live Site.

From the 26-30 January, the iconic Australian landmark will showcase all of the quarterfinal, semifinal and finals action from the Australian Open on a massive 6x4 metre screen.

Bondi Beach provides a unique Australian Open viewing experience for visitors, combining fantastic summer weather with picturesque Australian sunsets. Bondi Park will be transformed with deck chairs and seating which will allow visitors to sit back and relax as the world's best players get down to the business end of the tournament.

With fully licensed Jacob's Creek and Heineken bars on site, and a great selection of snacks, the site will be a great place to catch up with friends during the day or after work to watch the matches.

Waverley Council Mayor, Sally Betts said "If you can't go to Melbourne, this is really the next best place to watch the Australia Open. Bring a picnic and enjoy this free event".
